There are dozens of mason jar crafts and even the Green Queen succumbed over the holidays to a quick and easy craft. Here’s how to do it.
Gather up your empty jars (glass is best) but you could use other types of containers for this project too.
Grab your Modge-Podge or any brand of decoupage paint. If you don’t have any sitting around here’s how to make that:
Elmer’s Glue (8 oz bottle)
water (4 oz)
Mix together well.
There you have your own homemade decoupage paint
(Now back to the Mason Jar Craft)
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Tissue paper or wrapping paper (any scraps left over after the holidays will do)
Modge Podge or decoupage paint
WHAT TO DO:
Now place your tissue paper on your mason jar and paint Modge-Podge over the tissue. Keep covering the jar with tissue and modge-podge. Add buttons and ribbons, how ever you’d like. (For the New Year – Silver tissue paper would be pretty).
Now you have a decorative container you can put an electronic candle inside and light up your nights.
