They are supposed to remain contained in a little zippered purse, but she still finds them on shelves and under tables.
It was when she was sweeping an errant pin from under her sofa that she wondered what else these little grippers could do, and a bit of research gave her these ideas:
Lose that dangling bit off a zipper, called its fob? In a pinch, a bobby pin will do the trick. Eco-Lassie tried it, and it works, although she couldn’t find a photo, but you get the idea.
Another purpose is to hold a small nail in place for hammering. This is great for those too-tiny-to-grip nails. Just slide the nail through the groove of a bobby and hold the end of the pin. You’ll escape hammering your finger.
In a pinch, this little guy has tons of uses. Readers, any neat suggestions you’ve found?
