L.A. may join S.F.

The City of Los Angeles is considering a ban on plastic bags. Definitely a step in the right direction!

This is a great move and one that we are encouraging cities and municipalities across the country to adopt. We have worked with many of these entities by producing re-usable tote bags for grocery and retail stores. We also have a biodegradable plastic for those that insist on plastic. Check out iaspromotes.com for eco friendly promotional items.

I wish Denver would follow suit! We have tons of stores that offer reusable cloth alternatives and some even discount 5 cents per bag, but I’d love to see it a requirement. I’m noticing more and more people reusing, though, and almost every time I’m at the store people seem to notice and comment on my bags… Really they are so much sturdier and easier to carry groceries in! They don’t leave red marks on your arms like the plastic variety do!

And they say ANYTHING can happen in Hollywood :) It’s true! They’ve pulled off what most small towns can’t do!
